Despite the continuing diversification of the Nigerian economy, the petroleum industry remains the core national revenue earner. The drop in production capacity; divestment of some international oil companies, the downward trend in the aggregate level of foreign direct investments, the petroleum products supply conundrum has made it critical and incumbent on the Cross River State Government to strategize and implement quick-win initiatives to attract conventional and alternative investments to finance developmental projects in Cross River State albeit in the energy space. The resultant strategy is a three – pronged approach of public, private and strategic investor partnership to realise the dawn of a new era.
